Welcome to Heart & Hearth.

Heart & Hearth is for anyone who wants home to feel like more than a place to keep their things.

Heart & Hearth is for the person who wants home to feel like a grounding center of warmth, comfort, and belonging. It is for those who long to slow down, live with more intention, reconnect with what matters most, and move gently with the rhythm of the seasons. If you are drawn to the art of turning a house into a home through beauty, meaning, and personal touches, this blog was made for you.

Here, you’ll find simple ideas for creating beauty, charm, and meaning in everyday spaces through decorating, gardening, handmade projects, natural living, and small rituals of care.

Perfection is not the goal, but rather, enjoying the journey of making our values a living part of our home and the most ordinary corners feel loved.

The Heart Behind the Hearth

I started Heart & Hearth because I have always been drawn to the way a space can change how we feel.

A beautiful rug by the door, a basket filled with useful things, flowers on a table, herbs drying in the kitchen, a garden path that invites you to explore nature’s bounty — these little details may seem small, but they shape the feeling of a home.

I believe homemaking can be creative, practical, and deeply personal. It can be done slowly, imperfectly, and on a real-life budget. It can include thrifted finds, handmade projects, seasonal inspiration, garden clippings, old furniture, and tiny improvements that build over time.

Heart & Hearth is my place to gather those ideas and share them with you.

Hi, I’m Rebecca

I’m the creator of Heart & Hearth.

I’m drawn to cottage gardens, old-fashioned charm, natural materials, meaningful details, and the kind of home that feels beautiful without feeling untouchable. I love the idea of making spaces feel more welcoming through small, thoughtful changes: a better entryway, a cozy corner, a handmade wreath, a useful basket, a vase of flowers, or a garden bed that brings joy every time you walk past it.

I’m not here as someone with a perfect home or a finished garden.

I’m here as someone who is learning, creating, experimenting, and sharing what I discover along the way.

My hope is that Heart & Hearth helps you see your own home with fresh eyes and reminds you that beauty does not have to be complicated to be meaningful.

Where to Start

Not sure where to begin?

Start with the spaces that greet you every day.

A doorway.
A table.
A windowsill.
A garden path.
A quiet corner.

Small places are often the easiest places to transform, and they can change the entire feeling of a home.

You can begin by browsing the blog, exploring home and garden ideas, or saving a few projects for the season ahead.
